A little clarity

Your privacy.

Your notebook and your email waitlist are two different things. Here’s how we handle each.

Last updated: October 5, 2026. Eureka is made by Cup of Coffee Software.

The website and launch waitlist

When you join, we collect your email address, the time of your signup, your permission to receive a launch notification, and any campaign tags in the link that brought you here. We use this to maintain the list, avoid duplicate signups, send the launch notification, and understand which posts lead to signups. Joining does not create an app account.

We store the list privately in Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore. It is not publicly readable. We do not sell the list or use it for advertising audiences. We plan to use Resend to deliver the launch email; that service will receive the recipient address and email content needed to send it.

Website measurement

We count approximate page visits and signups by campaign and day. We do not attach an email address or a persistent visitor identifier to those totals. Campaign tags are limited to source, medium, campaign and content labels; please do not put personal information in them.

This site uses your browser’s session storage to remember campaign tags and avoid counting the same page repeatedly within a tab. The code does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics scripts. Our hosting providers may process technical information, such as network addresses and request logs, to serve and protect the website. Our application does not save visitor IP addresses in the waitlist or metrics database.

Your choices

You can ask to access, correct, or delete your waitlist information by emailing cupofcoffeesoftware@gmail.com. The launch email will include an unsubscribe link. We keep active signup records until the launch notification has been delivered, then plan to delete the list within 90 days. Minimal unsubscribe records may be retained to respect your choice.

The Eureka notebook app

The native app is separate from this website. Its current design stores notebook content on your device and, when you use iCloud sync or sharing, in Apple’s iCloud. Speech transcription is designed to run on your device. Your app’s microphone, speech recognition, photo, location and Face ID permissions are controlled through your device settings.

The website does not receive your notebook pages, recordings, transcripts, drawings, or iCloud content. The current app listing documents no developer analytics or advertising SDKs. We will update this policy if the released app’s data handling changes.
